{EN} Luvinha is a multimedia artist that articulates an approach to installation that transcends the specificities of the medium, merging video, creative coding, sculpture, and architecture through the materiality of light. Rooted in Brazilian folklore and the literary tradition of Magical Realism, her work reframes architectural fragments, found objects, and digital systems as vehicles of collective magic within hyperconnected and hypercapitalist culture.
She is the Creative Director of MOV Festival, a multi-city platform for art and technology that produces immersive domes and large-scale experiences in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brooklyn. Luvinha holds an MFA in Interactive Arts at Pratt Institute in New York. Her work has been presented at festivals and institutions, including Rock the Mountain (Rio de Janeiro, BR), Casa Inconcreta (São Paulo, BR), Converse Create Next (São Paulo, BR). Luvinha creates site-specific interventions and public art projects that draw on Brazilian carnival and architecture as fields of aesthetic and cultural research. She has been awarded the Pratt Outstanding Merit Award (2025), the Barrett Endowed Scholarship (2024), and the Graduate Student Engagement Fund (2024). Her work has been featured in catalogs, cultural platforms, and art & technology festivals.
{PT}. Luvinha é artista multimídia que articula uma abordagem da instalação que transcende o meio, fundindo vídeo, creative coding, escultura e arquitetura por meio da materialidade da luz. Enraizado no folclore brasileiro e na tradição literária do Realismo Mágico, seu trabalho ressignifica fragmentos arquitetônicos, objetos encontrados e sistemas digitais como veículos de uma magia coletiva em meio à cultura hiperconectada e hipercapitalista.
